CodeIgniter Upgrade Guidance
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I'm seeking detailed guidance on upgrading our codebase from CodeIgniter 3.1.10 to 4.4 and PHP 8.3. The upgrade is critical for improving our core functionality, database interactions, and updating existing PHP, controllers, and models, routing, helpers, namespaces to classes, along with directories and configuration. (maybe more)
We will complete the upgrade by starting an anydesk session so you can view what is happening and guide through the process. I have very little experience with both code igniter and PHP but have extensive experience testing our system to ensure proper functionality and have a decent knowledge of our directory structure and the location of our server code. In other words, you will be leading the upgrade and directing us on each step and answering questions.
Key requirements include:
- Expertise in CodeIgniter 3 to 4 migration.
- PHP 8.3 experience.
- Strong understanding of database interactions and application architecture.
- Ability to provide step-by-step upgrade instructions.
- Familiarity with staging server setups for testing.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Proven experience with CodeIgniter upgrades.
- Solid PHP background.
- Clear communication skills for guidance.
