Code Fix on reporting website
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I have a custom-coded website for our authors and editors to see their royalty and payment information. The code is now throwing an error when adding a new author:
Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username "authors@*****/*****.ca" using 2 possible authenticators. Authenticator LOGIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535 5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: UGFzc3dvcmQ6 ". Authenticator PLAIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535 5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: UGFzc3dvcmQ6 ".
Your job is to investigate the error and resolve it.
Bonus - Our custom site also has an accounting error where author purchased books are being added toward the royalty calculations for the author. If you fix it so authors are not given royalties on their purchased books you will receive a bonus payment.
You will be given access to the admin side of the site to resolve the issue. Full MySQL access included. You will pull the code and work on it. Once the first issue is resolved, report to me for verification by installing the code on a new subdomain for testing. Once tested, advise if the bonus was done and that will be tested as well. Once all issues resolved, you will populate the changes to the production site and verify it is working perfectly.
Timeline: We're looking for this to be resolved quickly, for royalty reporting is taking place at end of the month. Please advise of a timeline to fix the one issue and the bonus.
