Clone a browser based turn based text game in php jquery mysql adding bonus features
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have been playing this text based turn based game for over 15 years and now i want to copy it and add some new features. if you check out it was formally and now earth empires but its the same game.
So you basically create a country (give it a country name) and you start with the basic country stuff that every body gets. You start with 100 turns and you explore / build /select your countries government and then you are away. Obviously different things require turns to do like building or exploring for new land.
It was a free game and i believe it was online somewhere for free once but i cant find it. I suggest that you create an account and explore the game for yourself. It is text based and pretty boring but once you start to get involved it gets more interesting. The Rounds are about 2 months long, and every player is ranked so the score page shows everyone on the scoreboard. (well it shows the top 10 and then the 5 countries either side of your rank so 25 above and 25 below. You can see that for yourself. i want to build a new one very similar but bring in some new exciting features to help make players stay and enjoy themselves.
1. I want to bring in prizes for the top 3 players as well as award for players we select through out the set. So some might be based so if someone wins a war like a clan vs clan we will select and give the award.
2. We want to bring in a social element to it so enable users to share on social media their account and country information. To help enable players to grow and our player numbers to grow.
3. We want to enable players to be able to donate to the game and a prize pool.
4. As part of the donating we want to have a prize page which will tally up the donations and at the end of each set we will give that away to a random player. And we want the website to be able to select and show the results for the winner too.
5. We want to be able to message individual players or send out mass messages to all players.
6. Any other updates or dynamic features we can add? I am looking for suggestions here.
IT is important the game mechanics are the same and this is ALL text based and php.
