Centros 8 Server adjustment for email controls
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Adjust server
I have purchased a new server to run my gay adult website, GayTies.com. In the admin panel of the website, there is a program where I can send out emails to my 20,000 members based on various selections I choose, such as a particular member subgroup, or members who have not logged in in the last 30 days, etc. THE WEBSITE PROGRAM WORKS FINE! DON’T BE CONCERNED ABOUT IT. I have operated this website since 2006. No issues. And the server I had at GoDaddy worked fine in sending out these emails.
However, I moved my website to a more modern, larger, and faster server at namecheap, but my tech guy cannot get that new server to send out the emails. It seems like a server setting is the issue, but he cannot adjust the server to send out the emails.
BTW, in the GayTies website program I can adjust it to send out emails in short bursts to avoid interfering with members’ use. Bursts are now set at 75 emails, and pause 10 second, and then another 75 emails, and pause 10 seconds, and so on.
The server in question is Centos 8. I’ll give you the log-in info, when you convince me you are an expert at doing this minor adjustment. You’d log-in to CENTOS with SSH, probably adjust the configuration of mail software(postfix) installed on server
This is one adjustment I need done.
The 2nd adjustment is to have the server forward the bad (returned) email to my email address, so I can address that issue and ask members to update their email address.
So your bid is to resolve 2 tasks: set the server to send out emails, and 2nd, set the server to send me the bad emails addresses.
