Build a Custom CMS Admin Panel for My Static Website (React Frontend + PHP or Node.js Backend)
1. Project Overview:
I have a fully designed and hosted static frontend website at https://joephiliph.com, built using React and deployed via shared hosting (Niagahoster under Hostinger Indonesia).
I need a custom CMS (admin panel) so I can easily manage my site content without editing frontend code manually.
2. CMS Should Manage the Following Content Types:
● Smart Picks (product title, rating, image, affiliate link, category)
● Product Reviews Posts
● Photography Gallery
● Blog Posts
● Homepage content (all elements inside the homepage is editable)
3. Custom Feature – Product Recommendation Block:
Each review/blog post should support an embedded product recommendation block, as shown in the reference design - please download the PDF I uploaded.
The block should:
● Display 2–4 product cards side-by-side (you can see the wirecutter website by The New York Times for inspiration)
● Each card contains:
○ Product title
○ Short description
○ Image (uploaded or URL)
○ Multiple affiliate buttons (merchant label + link, with no price)
○ Optional “Top Pick” and “Best Budget” badge.
All of these must be manageable via CMS.
This block will appear within post content, similar to blog embeds or Gutenberg blocks in WordPress.
4. Technical Requirements:
● Backend stack: PHP (Laravel preferred) or Node.js + Express
● MySQL database (credentials provided)
● Admin login (single-user only, no multi-user needed)
● File/image upload support
● REST API or server-rendered template logic — up to you
● Clean and responsive admin dashboard UI (can use Tailwind UI, Tabler, or AdminLTE)
5. Admin Dashboard Overview:
The CMS homepage should include a visual summary using charts (Chart.js, ApexCharts, or Recharts). Recommended widgets:
● Visitor Trend Chart (daily or monthly views — use internal counter or lightweight JS)
● Top 5 Most Viewed Posts/Products (based on CMS-tracked views)
● Content Counts (Smart Picks, Blog, Gallery)
● Product Category Breakdown (bar or pie chart)
● Most Clicked Affiliate Buttons
Please design the dashboard to be fast and mobile-friendly.
6. Access Provided:
● FTP access (restricted to /public_html/admin)
● MySQL database credentials (host: localhost)
● Optional subdomain: admin.joephiliph.com
