Build a live chat app and backend like Intercom

We have customers that have websites, and we offer customer support agents.
We would like to build an app similar to Intercom, where our customers can install a snippet on their website and this live chat widget can pop up and our agents/the user themselves can have a conversation using a backend portal.
The app would need to be built using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and vanilla PHP for the backend, leveraging some real-time chat technology like Firebase, or Sendbird.
