Build an integration between 2 websites without API (scraping/remote input etc)
Budget: $10 – $1,700 USD
We are working with a shipping company that provides mailboxes for their customers to ship items to it. This is particularly useful for stores that do not ship internationally, as the shipping company can forward the items to any country the customer lives in.
Although this company does not have an API ready yet (at least not for 4-6 months), we are trying to develop a website and a few tools that allow us to replicate actions from our website to their website remotely. This includes signups, email confirmations, package arrival notifications, package pricing, and package forwarding with weight cost pricing, etc. The only thing that we would be doing manually is paying for the shipment on their account.
Here is a breakdown of how the system will work:
- Users will register on our website, and the system will automatically create an account for the user on Site B (the shipping company's website).
- The system will also create a unique email address for the user's account on our server.
- Once the registration on both websites is complete, the system will fetch the address details and name of the user from Site B and store it in a database. This will help avoid rechecking foreign addresses daily for each user account on Site B, making it more convenient to store the information in a database.
- When a user receives a parcel on their account on Site B, our server will immediately receive an email, including images of the package that Site B has received. Our system will then get that information and store and update the database accordingly, notifying the admin through email of the received package. The package details will also update in the user and admin panel.
- The system will then calculate a shipping quote and share it with the email address associated with the package, prompting the user to process or complete the order on our website.
- Once the user pays for the order, the system will notify the admin of the confirmed payment from the user.
- The admin will have access to a screen, where they can click on a button to access the user's Site B account and process the payment in the browser.
- For all processed orders, our system will check for tracking data daily and update the orders accordingly.
- If a package is not reflected in the email, our system will check every user account on Site B on a daily basis and calculate the correctness in the system. If the system finds that Site B records and our system records are different, the correctness and details will be shared with the admin daily.
- Site B offers four membership packages, including a free membership package. The admin will be able to define memberships based on Site B membership packages, and these memberships can be upgraded on Site B for each account. It will also reflect on our system accordingly. For users, the admin will be able to see membership information on our website, and for the admin on Site B membership information, and Site B membership details will be reflected.
- The website will be designed using HTML5, Tailwind CSS framework, and Javascript.
- The website will support multiple languages, and we will provide translations.
- The website will have a user panel and admin panel for the users and admin, respectively, to perform operations. Additionally, a separate panel will be provided for manual payment processing on Site B, which can be accessed by the worker using their own username and password (that can be shared with the employee or contractor).
On our website the payment gateways that needs to be implemented are Stripe and PayPal for our customers to pay us, on Site B the payments will be done manually with our info
Once the API is ready we will hire you again to redo the website and make it work with API
please type RED at the beginning of your proposal if you read all the above and can do it, any proposal without it will be ignored and deleted.
