Build an ecommerce data platform alongside a senior developer with 14 years experience
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
I'm a senior developer with 14 years experience. ~8 years with Laravel, been with Node.js since the very start, and also dabbled in WooCommerce and received a Magento Certified Solution Specialist.
Recently, I've noticed a trend in the Norwegian ecommerce market (where I mainly operate) - and this trend is that contactless payments are becoming HUGE, and so is mobile - but most webshops are still made with Wordpress/WooCommerce.
I've already started to build the product, I have clients waiting and ready - but a big focus I want is on big data.
Here I plan to use Cassandra as a main data store, and see to use Neo4j + Elasticsearch to be able to do things that Shopify/WooCommerce could NEVER do - and in so - outright destroy the competition in Norway delivering such shops.
I have a list of my old partners customers - they delivered WooCommerce shops - the list is 1200 customers long. ~The way I worded the initial agreement, the list is also mine to FULLY use.
I have always worked alone. Frontend, backend, and system/database admin. Frontend I use Vue, but am itching for React Native.
I have also incorporated a C-Corporation in Delaware - which means that since I'm not an US citizen - all revenue is tax-free.
That said though - the average price of a webshop in Norway is from ~5k EUR (simple WooCommerce) upwards to 40k EUR (Magento). What I'm after though - is my platform being as automated as possible to get rid of the big issue in delivering webshops - which is that they take weeks and weeks to deliver. I want to deliver webshops in hours.

Aside from list of clients to call - I have clients who are already willing to pay for the end result (whatever it may be is still slightly up in the air - so I need someone I can hammer out details with).
I also have partners who deliver point of sales systems in Norway who are VERY eager to sell the platfrom I create - which means sales will come very easily - that is - if the product is good....
- What I'm after
Time to market is key. The key is also that I have a very ambitious plan. I'm not after being yet another company delivering crappy webshops. What I need is someone who I can not only work with but also manage.
We will be making HEAVY use of devops as well as a very interesting server infrastructure (via Azure). What I'd like, is to not only focus on programming the "bigger picture" - and having someone program the details - but for me to focus more on infrastructure.
- Compensation
With the average delivery of a project of this platform being in the *least* 3k EUR + 500 EUR a month - just make your offer. I'm even willing to do a full partnership - I'm not looking to save money, I just need a VERY skilled dev. to work alongside with.
