Build Live Streaming Platformplatform crust
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I'm in need of a skilled developer to create a live streaming platform as an add-on to our existing video platform.
Key Project Details:
- You will be working on an already established video platform that we offer to our users. (Crust.live)
- The main task is to integrate a live streaming functionality to this existing system.
- As the project is in high demand, we require the implementation to be done urgently.
Ideal Freelancer:
- Proven experience in developing live streaming platforms is a must. Please provide examples of your previous work in this area.
- Your proposal should clearly demonstrate your understanding of live streaming technology (rtmp)and how you plan to implement it in our system.
We need this system to be an integral part of our website and include features like:
- support for multiple servers to handle atreamers in multiple countries and the system be able to utilize the server closest to the streamer to offer the best ping (connection) speed.
- real time chat (running on separate server).
- Ability for the streamer to save their stream as a vod to play back later. This is a huge feature and we will utilize it a lot.
- it is important to note that our system for streaming is to connect with OBS for streaming and it be fast and offer our streamers the best latency and ping do their stream looks great.
We run on powerful vps servers and we have some in Australia (main) as well as USA, Europe.
We are looking to have the streaming part run on nginx.
We have bought a script called twitcher that we could use ? But we would want it to be integrated so im not 100% sure if it’s cheaper to use this or build from scratch.
Here is some functions from another streaming platform we’d like to incorporate:
Live streaming is scalable and supports multiple servers.
A custom NGINX configuration is required on every server that will be deployed.
Types of servers: broadcast servers, streaming servers, VOD servers, chat servers, load balancer servers.
Live chatting is supported during live streams and during vods.
Live chat supports moderation, badges, emoticons, notifications and many other features.
Previews from vods are created after every live stream. Paid subscribers have access to full length vods.
Streaming should be done through OBS Studio, but other software can work as well.

We also want live stream vods to be displayed and watchable on a desperate page on crust
2) we also went to develop a ‘what are you playing’ field so streamer can select what game they are playing and the user in th front end can browse by game title.
We’d also like to be able to manage this form within the admin panel and assign a game thumbnail to each game.
We already have a list of the top 1000 games
