Bug fix of a Codeigniter module (Perfex CRM)

I have a Perfex (Codeigniter) module that requires some bugs to be fixed and small feature addition to such as sending an email to a customer when a button is pressed in the admin UI
Module: Perfex Report that saves the report to the customer's profile and then exports, the edit function fails..
Bugs to be fixed: An override of an address fails and the UI needs fixing
The create function works but when editing there are a few bugs with a few headings that aren't working correctly.
So I have a module that was created by another Freelancer but he has since gone and disappeared. The module is pretty much complete but there are a few issues.
1) The plugin requires the staff member to be an admin to use.
2) There is an address search feature, that pulls in the customer's address but also there is a tick box to override the address to allow me to type it out. This did work but has stopped working plus the interface is untidy.
3) The edit function does not work at all, I am unable to expand some headings.
4) I updated it so it pulls over status from the database (value of 1 allows the customer to see it and 0 means it hidden) I would like these to be 1 = published 0 = unpublished.
The publish button should email the customer to make them aware that their report has been published
Apart from the email feature, they are all small tasks.
