BigCommerce Site Speed & Theme Optimization

Recently, I switched themes on Bigcommerce, our store has a lot of different products. Post theme change, I'm encountering site speed issues.
- Our images have to synch with amazon, facebook, ebay - and we had issues with webp for this reason and have left everything as jpeg
- I suspect there might be a server issue at play with the site speed
