BetOnTheVet.com -- 5
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
BetOnTheVet.com already has a small presence, but I now want it to operate as a true rehabilitation resource hub for veterans. The site’s heart will be a library that houses three pillars of content—physical therapy guides, mental-health support material, and job-placement assistance—all tucked behind a simple free-to-join member wall.
Core objectives
I need a clean membership flow that lets a visitor register and log in effortlessly, then land on a dashboard where every resource is clearly indexed. Beyond that single sign-up requirement, no other member features (tiers, forums, points, etc.) are necessary right now. A prominent, trustworthy donation channel must sit alongside the resources so supporters can contribute to the program’s growth.
Key functions to build
• Member registration & secure login (email/password, social sign-on optional but not required).
• Resource library with categories for therapy, mental health, and jobs, each managed through an easy back-end interface so I can upload PDFs, videos, or external links at any time.
• Donation workflow that accepts one-off and recurring gifts, issues receipts automatically, and summarizes totals in the admin panel.
• Mobile-first design, WCAG-friendly pages, and performance tuned for quick load times.
• Hosting is already in place; I’ll provide cPanel or WordPress access as soon as we start.
Acceptance criteria
1. A new user can register, confirm their email, log in, and reach the resource dashboard in under two minutes.
2. Uploaded sample content appears correctly inside its category and is visible only when logged in.
3. A test donation processes end-to-end and the transaction record is viewable in the admin panel.
4. Pages render without layout breaks on current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge mobile & desktop.
Hand-off expectation
When the build is complete I’ll need the admin credentials, a brief video or written walkthrough of key workflows, and a one-page change-log outlining any custom code used. I’m open to your recommended plugins or frameworks—just keep them mainstream so future maintenance stays straightforward.
