Basic foundation for a database driven Laravel 4 site
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
The aim of the site is to give online shoppers a platform to report shady webshops or individual sellers.
It should be a full-stack application (see no need for front/backend separation).
The system will have 2 interfaces stakeholders work with:
1 - The consumer-facing site
Here people can search the database or browse all records in it, narrowing down the list by applying filters. All columns can be sorted asc/desc. So basically a regular data table.
This interface also contains a big button on several places (call to action), leading up to a form where visitors can also tell their stories about similar experiences. After submitting a correct form a user account is automatically created, the visitor is routed to a thank you page (we will moderate your submission)
99% of the scams would have been online, but victims are usually targeted geographically, so confirming at least the country and province where it took place is a must! Google has an API that can be used for this.
2 - The admin interface
Here the following elements can be created and edited (CRUD) by the admin
- User accounts
- List of countries
- List of provinces per country
- List of complaints
- List of criminals
That last list is empty and a visitor, once implemented, will only have read access.
The team will look for patterns in the complaints and fill that list accordingly.
Technica requirements:
- PHP
- It should be built in Laravel 4
- Content should mostly be server generated together with the wrapping HTML elements. Interacting with the table can be done though XHR/Ajax
- For CSS please use Tailwind.
- For the CRUD pages in the admin interface, please use https://github.com/Laravel-Backpack/CRUD
- Font awesome 4pro will be provided to you
- A logo and a color scheme will also be provided to you
- The end product should have been tested by you on desktop and mobile. No need the write unit tests,
- You are expected to use proper PHP Docblocks for the functions and methods, so documentation can be generated.
The data structure will be sent by me (database diagram + relations).
No need for fancy frontend work, this will be done in a later stage. The focus now is on having this platform functionally ready ASAP.
We will become owner of the product, concept and code. Before we continue I would ask you to sign contract that defines the agreements that have been made and will also include an NDA.
Seeing this project is well defined and not hard to oversee the work required. So kindly bid with a fixed fee, stating the actual amount of hours you expect to work on this and within which time frame you are able to deliver.
