Back-End Developer with Experience in User accounts and Payment Gateways
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
We are looking for an experienced back-end developer who can join an existing team that is building an advanced, custom Content Management System (CMS). The CMS is for event management. We have a basic system in working, but need to add user accounts and payment gateways make the CMS viable commercially.
We need someone who can take our existing system to the next level.
First, we need to develop a user login/authentication module. The system requires several kinds of users, each with different permissions to access system resources. Admin-level users will be able to "invite" other users to join at the editor level.
Tentative user roles:
1. "Administrator/Superuser".
2. Account owner, who can "invite" Editors (see below) to join the team.
editors working under the Account owner
3. Account Editors, who can edit and manage events, but don't control teams or payment.
4. Unprivileged access by a WordPress website requesting certain types of data, e.g. search the event guest list for a nam.
Second, we want to allow local logins, as well as use oAuth to create account logins.
Third, we need to tie user accounts to a subscription payment system. As you might expect, those with more permissions will pay more for those services. Account Owners are responsible for payment.
The system must also keep track of payments - not a full accounting system, but a log/record of payments.
We have detailed, interactive Figma prototypes showing account administration, along with payment UI, which will be provided to our candidate.
Our candidate will need to work with our existing back-end developer, who created the core database functions and CodeIgniter modules.
Specific Skill Requirements:
- Proficient in PHP/MySQL
- Experience with CodeIgniter (current system was built in CodeIgniter)
- Previous work should include examples of creating a user account system - with multiple levels of access to CMS system resources.
- Previous work should include allowing account logins with local username/password, plus social oAuth-style logins (Apple, Facebook, Google)
.
- Previous work should includ building and validating payment gateways tied to user accounts. At a minimum, candidates should know how to linke credit card and Paypal, Venmo-style payment systems to a CMS.
- Experience in creating JSON or related output that can be used by a WordPress website to render data from the CMS.
If interested, please submit examples demonstrating work in building user account systems and payments gateways in a back-end PHP/MySQL system. We have a barebones CMS built in CodeIgniter, and you will need to build off that base.
Must be willing to sign NDA. None of the work developed for us can ever be used as a sample in your portfolio nor shared with anyone else. All code will be solely our property and code must be delivered to us upon payment.
