Azure VM Setup with Plesk and RHEL
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I am looking for someone to help with a very specific setup. I have tried a few times now, but end up running into issues RHEL support and Plesk support seem unable to help resolve. So I am starting completely fresh and would like some assistance.
Here's what I would need to do:
My end goal is to have an Azure VM running RHEL with Plesk host a domain and subdomain. On the subdomain, there will be hosted HTML, CSS, JS and PHP files (all of which I do not need assistance with). PHP will be used to access MSSQL DB hosted on MS.
The scope of this project is the support for the setup and configuration of RHEL/Plesk and PHP as described below.
I already have a VM built with Azure. It is completely fresh, with RHEL installed (newest stable version). I have a RHEL subscription as well as a Plesk subscription.
Here's what I would like support with doing:
1. Update RHEL
2. Install Cockpit, and test URL. Register server with Red Hat to get access to repo's
3. Install Plesk and test.
4. Using Plesk, build domain and subdomain setup
5. Add support in PHP for accessing MSSQL
6. Configure SFTP (SSH) access to Plesk to easily edit and manage files using PHPStorm
7. Upload content to subdomain and test
8. Test server for health
9. Configure Azure for backups
I have actually done all of this, however each time I have had to delete the server and start over because of some issue with the MSSQL drivers and compatibility, that support doesn't seem to know how to correct.
I am only looking for help if someone has a very high chance of being able to solve getting this to work. This project shouldn't take long and instead of having someone do it, I am just looking for someone to support me in the build process. Someone I can talk to and ask questions to during.
Please reply if you are willing to act in a support role to achieve this. I would go step by step with the person, sharing all commands used, potentially even doing this over a shared screen.
This shouldn't take more than a few hours, if that.
