Adding Email Confirmations for Customers

My main concern is to see if the developer who worked on the website forgot to add anything, and to implement email confirmations when customers place an order, as well as when the order is completed. I would like the freelancer to show me how to do it.

No strict deadline. The freelancer can take the necessary time to review the website and determine if they can work on it, as it is quite complex.
