Add custom TEXT field in php form. Customized QUICKLANCER script

The site is a customized version of QUICKLANCER 2.4.
1. Add custom text field for users using POST PROJECT php file to collect information about their car before submitting. Right now there are 3 existing fields.. car YEAR, MAKE, MODEL.
Text field needs to be added below that to collect misc. info user might want to submit.
2. The 3 fields above are being displayed in on the freelancer BIDDING page. Info from the text field above must display here also.
3. Beautify the bid page and display information nicely and logically.
It could be done from the admin, as it has "Custom Fields" option. I don't know how to bind it to the POST PROJECT form.
