We drop ship clothing from a distributor.
I need the website updated / upgraded for better functionality. The areas I need fixed are
Confirmation email sent to customer when customer places order. This should include their information and what they ordered.
API tracking for customer orders, automatically send an email when the order ships with the tracking information to the customer.
Fix address entry. The drop ship distributor site asks “keep address as submitted or it can substitute what it thinks the correct address is” My site does not know how to process that question, so it does not bring back a shipping quote.
Fix shipping quote. When customers put things in their cart, and request shipping, it places a test order with the distributor for a shipping quote. If the customer decides to add more to their cart, the shipping quote does not update. It only sends the data to the distributor once.
The distributor ships from 4 different warehouses. Customers can place their order from each warehouse, but the distributor has a condensed shipping option. So if the customer selects 2 different warehouses, and the products are available in both warehouses, it condenses the order and only ships from 1 warehouse to save shipping costs. Currently my site does not know how to process that.
Need to fix tax rates. Currently the site is not calculating taxes properly. I can provide a list of tax rates for each province we ship too.
Site needs to export daily sales to quickbooks, currently this does not have the capability.
Site needs to update product list nightly, it also needs to exclude certain products. I can show which products to not sync.
Site needs to update inventory every 60 mins.
Pricing needs to be updated every night, with my markup applied.
The admin page needs to be updated. I need to see exactly what a customer orders, with pricing. There is a drop down box that has different selections for “order confirmed, paid, and other options” I need this list changed to only show and function the following
- Ordered (order received - pending my approval)
- Confirmed (I select this, and it sends order)
- Pending (Distributor received, waiting for ship)
- Shipped (Shipped by distributor)
The tracking number and shipper company (purolator/UPS) should also populate on their order page when data is received from the distributor. When the customer has paid, it should also show PAID on their order page.
The credit card processor might also need an update, to allow the address entry to process.
No information from the drop ship supplier can be show to customers, on the site or on the invoices or tracking.
Categories should be updated for better functionality.
