I need an illustrator for a graphic novel
Budget: £10,000 – £20,000 GBP
As a brief introduction about me, I work in film art department as an art director, with the occasional work as an illustrator and, currently branching off into the comic industry, as a writer/artist. I’m in the process of looking for a co-illustrator/s to collaborate on a 120 page indie fantasy/post apocalyptic graphic novel - a personal project I’ve been trying to get on its feet for a while, which I hope to complete by max mid 2023. The story is a marriage of Mad Max, Dune, Under the Skin and Handmaid's Tale. And in terms of style, I think an impressionistic, and surreal vibe would fit it. I really like the the gritty style of Piotr Jablonski, Andrew Wyeth, and Sergey Kolesov for their uncanny feel, play with perspective, beautiful dreamy lighting and skewed anatomy. I want to avoid the typical ink and block colour look. These are some references of the feel of like to emulate for the illustration:
