I need an expert in managing Lightroom Catalogs across different computers

Took a photography trip and downloaded and edited 200MB of photos onto to my travel laptop using LRclassic. Now struggling to bring that catalog and image folders on to my desktop for further editing. I don't want to lose the organizing and editing work I did on my travel laptop. I have named both catalogs the same name on two different computers which may have been a big mistake. I subscribe to adobe creative cloud so I have all adobe projects. I suspect this help will require maybe an hour or two of assistance. I just don't want to have to delete everything and start over.
