Portrait Photo Lighting Adjustment

I have a portrait photo with uneven lighting that needs to be corrected. The areas that need the most attention are behind the hair and around the head. I would like the lighting to be adjusted in a way that enhances the natural look of the photo, rather than creating dramatic effects.
