Photo touch up for an A4 flyer (2 sides)

I need to do some photo editing for a flyer. I already have the flyer layout with all the text and photos in psd file. My flyer has a black background and I want the photos to blend into the black background without showing the rectangle edge. Also want to add some icons (chef hat, thumb up) for a bullet list on the flyer. This is a simple project and does not really need design, just photo editing.
