Group Photo Exposure Editing in Photoshop

I have a single group photo that needs exposure adjustment. I want consistent exposure on the people, especially the faces. Also soften the background light, including the light bouncing off of the umbrella.

Ideal skills and experience for the job:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with photo editing, particularly adjusting exposure
- Ability to enhance photo visibility without compromising quality
