Change Madness Illustrations
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
General:
The sample drawing should be replicated in digital form suitable for on-screen viewing (print quality resolution is not required). Either a cartoon or realistic look is acceptable. Drawing should have color but can include black and white figures and can have the look of pen and ink drawing or a painting or color pencil drawing. The drawings should be delivered as Photoshop files (PSD)
Drawing 1 - Bridge:The drawing should give a feeling of a rope bridge extending over a high canyon with a river in the bottom. The swinging rope bridge should appear unsafe, rickety, in disrepair with loose ropes and missing or hanging treads in the floor.
Drawing 2 - People
The scene should have the same look as the bridge drawing and include one side of the bridge.
The figures need to be detailed enough to show emotions. They can be cartoon or realistic looking but it is preferred that the representations do not show skin tone or ethnicity. The gender should be generic or a mix of male and female.
Fire/flames: the fire and flames should be an overlay or separate layer that can be made visible or invisible. This drawing will be used in a slide that shows the scene first without the fire, then for the next slide the fire is overlaid on top of the full scene. The flames should not touch the figures but be approaching them. GIF animation of the flames is optional.
People emotions:
Standing figure - person should be carrying a rope and wearing something that looks like a fall protection harness. The emotion is happy/engaged and ready for the challenge. The figure is feeling “come on, this is easy. I’ll help you”
Sitting figure reading - person should be in their own world, unaware of what’s going on. Can be reading a book or looking at a mobile phone or tablet. Should convey the emotion of blissful unawareness.
Figure stepping in tub of water - this figure should be vague in its features and emotion. This figure’s emotion is intentionally left open for discussion.
Sitting person in fetal position - this figure’s emotion should convey mild fear, being withdrawn and unengaged. Refusing to recognize what’s happening around it.
Person on ground - this figure should be representing a temper tantrum, the person prone on the ground with arms and legs pounding the earth. The emotion is “I’ll not go unless you drag me kicking and screaming!”
Drawing 3 - other side of the bridge
Should show a bright, sunny day with beautiful green trees and blooming flowers. The figure is the last person across the bridge who is happy and celebrating the victory of being safely across. The emotion is that of triumph and pride at having accomplished the difficult task of crossing.
