On-Site Cultural Research, Mayong
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m looking for someone already based in or around Guwahati who can travel out to Mayong village for a short, focused study on its living traditions and customs. Once on-site you’ll speak with residents, observe daily practices, and document anything that illustrates how these customs survive in contemporary life. While monuments or festival calendars may come up in conversation, my priority is the people-centred, everyday side of Mayong’s culture.
Deliverables
• A concise written report (word-processed, 5–8 pages) summarising findings, interview highlights, and any relevant context.
• A curated set of clear, well-labelled photographs (minimum 25 high-resolution images) that visually support the report.
I’ll share a more detailed question guide, suggested contacts, and a simple consent form once we connect. You should be comfortable travelling independently, arranging your own local transport, and working to a one-week turnaround from the day of the visit.
