I'm in need of a freelancer who can assist me with my research surrounding the unique variety of berries found in San Jose, California, particularly in the vicinity of Gazos Creek Road near the coast. The essence of this project is to gather information, collect the berries from the region, and mail samples to Bellingham, Washington.

The main goal of this project is to understand the salmonberry variety found in the San Jose region. The mailed samples will be used in a scientific study to analyze the local adaptations of these berries and their applications for riparian habitat restoration. The final output of this research will be a scientific paper that I plan to publish.

Key tasks will include:

Part 1:
- Going to a location where wild salmonberries grow
- Collection 2 berries from each of four spaced-apart mother plants
-Photo evidence is requiere.

Part:2
- Extracting the seeds from the berries
- Drying the seeds out
- Mailing dried seeds to Bellingham
-follow up the instruction in the attachment
-Send photos of the full
-Photo evidence is requiere.

Ideal candidates for this project should have:
- A scientific background, preferably in ecology
- Experience locating and identifying plant species
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, as they will communicate with me, the researcher, about details of the samples

California, they can be found near the coast. In San Jose, they grow along Gazos Creek Road near the
coast.
