Product Photography Teacher Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for a photography "coach" for a couple of days to help me make the most of the equipment I have and to give me suggestions, tips and tricks, etc. to help me photograph products for my store.
It is only a couple of days - I just need help getting started. However, I will be honest and say that there is a possibility that I could either 1. get too busy or 2. not want to take pictures myself when I have a lot to do. So there may be more work for you in the long run.
What I bring to the table:
I am a pretty good photographer in general - considering I don't full around much with many custom settings. I had a nice Canon Rebel - I lent it to my cousin and haven't heard from it since LOL. My phone seems to do ok and I have multiple cameras downloaded as some are better for certain things than others. I have 'found' an older Rebel at a garage sale - haven't sat down and played with it yet - but honestly, i think my phone does a better job. Your input on that will be appreciated.
I have so many items to photograph I am overwhelmed. I started taking pictures long ago and wasn't happy with the results. I work a lot in Photoshop and have access to the full Creative Cloud library of apps. I started touching up pictures in PS but concluded that I wasn't being very consistent with backgrounds and the colors were a mix of warm/cool, different levels and brightness, on and on. It hit me that if I were taking better photos, the amount of editing needed would decrease substantially - and that is the goal.
I am looking for someone patient and creative. I like to work outside the box - I'd like my images to stand out more than everyone else's product images. I mention patience because I know I will ask a lot of questions.
I don't know what the fee schedule will look like - it would need to be discussed. Pay per day without a strict schedule as to hours would work for me. We can set guidelines of course. However I am not opposed to hourly rate. I believe a discussion would be the best way to make that decision.
I really hope to hear from anyone interested.
