Egocentric Hebrew Text Image Collection Project (Smartphone Photography)

Job ID: 39981645

Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR

We are seeking detail-oriented, reliable freelancers to participate in a structured image collection project focused on real-world Hebrew text. The purpose of this project is to gather authentic, high-quality images showing how people naturally see and interact with written text in their surroundings.

These images will help train a machine-learning model to recognize and interpret text from a real user’s point of view—similar to what a person might see through smart glasses.

No photography background is required. All you need is a smartphone with a 12-megapixel (or higher) camera, good attention to detail, and the ability to follow clear instructions carefully.

What You’ll Do
Your task is to capture natural first-person photos of everyday Hebrew text such as:

Store signs, posters, flyers, and brochures

Product labels, food packaging, or receipts (no personal details)

Book pages, handwritten notes, and documents (with sensitive info hidden)

Digital text displays (TVs, screens, public boards, or menus)

Each photo should represent how text appears from a human viewpoint.

You will upload each image to our secure platform, add an English description, and tag lighting conditions (indoor or outdoor).

Egocentric (First-Person) Photography Method
This project uses an egocentric method, where photos simulate your actual view.
Here’s how to do it correctly:

Hold your smartphone next to your left eye using the rear camera.

Keep the phone in portrait (vertical) position.

Do not stretch your arm out; keep the phone close to your face.

Capture what looks naturally visible from your own eye level.

Avoid using zoom—move closer or farther instead.

This ensures the images accurately reflect how smart-glass devices see the world.
