Photogrammetry Volume Estimation Website
Budget: $10 – $1,000 USD
I need a custom-built, calculation-driven site that lets me upload a short video of a metal rod, bar, or similar object. In every clip I will have placed a coin of known diameter and thickness beside the item. Your job is to turn those frames into a 3-D model and return the precise volume (mm³ / cm³) of the target object.
Core workflow
• Video (or image sequence) upload
• Automatic frame extraction and calibration against the coin’s dimensions
• Photogrammetry reconstruction in the browser or on the server (OpenCV, WebGL, Python + OpenMVG/Meshroom/Metashape CLI—use whichever stack you’re fastest with)
• Volume calculation and a clean numeric report, downloadable as JSON or CSV, plus a thumbnail of the 3-D mesh
Key requirements
• Accuracy within ±1 % of real volume when tested on reference samples
• Runs smoothly on all major mobile browsers; no external software needed for end users
• Simple dashboard so I can review past jobs, re-download results, or delete data
Deliverables
1. Source code and deployment guide (Docker or similar)
2. Live demo on your test server for acceptance testing
3. Brief documentation of algorithms, libraries, and calibration logic
If you’ve previously wrapped Metashape, RealityCapture, Meshroom, or entirely open-source pipelines into a web service, please mention that experience and link to a demo or repo. I’m ready to start as soon as I see a clear approach and timeline.
