1920 Photo Restoration & Colorization

Job ID: 40080247

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

A1920 Alla Abad Conference of All-India Congress has been scanned, but age has not been kind to it.
The goal is to bring this image back to life as if it were shot yesterday with high res, then breathe accurate, full-spectrum color into it. I do not have period references to guide the palette, so I am relying on your historical knowledge and artistic judgment for realistic skin tones, fabrics, and background hues.
Quad-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah has a side pose he should be recogniseable in the restored version; you might have to pick his side pose somewhere and match it with the photo.

Scope of restoration
• Remove all visible scratches and stains without blurring texture
• Reconstruct torn or cracked areas so they blend naturally with surrounding detail
• Sharpen and enhance overall clarity while preserving the photograph’s inherent character

Colorization requirements
Full colorization with believable, era-appropriate colors throughout the entire scene. Please avoid overly saturated “modern” tones; it should feel authentic to the 1920s.

Deliverables
• High-resolution RGB file (at least 600 dpi on the original print size) suitable for large-format printing
• A flattened TIFF or JPG plus an optional layered PSD so adjustments can be made later
• A brief note on your color choices and any subtle artistic liberties taken

Acceptance is based on seamless repair work (no visible cloning patterns), natural grain retention, and a cohesive, historically plausible color palette.
