Damaged/Old Portrait Photo Restoration
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a few very old photographs of persons. The photos have suffered noticeable wear over the years. The paper is torn in spots, small sections are missing, and the original lab print has lost much of its crisp facial definition. I want to breathe new life into it without altering the look or expression of the subject.
Here is what I need:
• Careful repair of all physical damage—rips, cracks, and gaps where pieces of the print are gone.
• Subtle but effective enhancement of the facial features. I’m especially interested in sharpening the hair, nose, and mouth so they look naturally well-defined rather than digitally “over-smoothed.”
• Re-creation of any missing areas in a way that blends seamlessly with the surrounding tones, textures, and lighting.
• Someone who is skilled in digital painting/drawing.
Here is what I don't need:
• Someone who is relying on one-click AI tools.
• Someone who is not skilled in digital painting/drawing.
I will supply a high-resolution scan (JPEG) as your starting point. Please work non-destructively (layered file in Adobe Photoshop or equivalent), so I can review each stage if needed.
Final deliverables:
1. Restored high-resolution JPG (print-ready, 300 dpi)
2. Layered PSD/TIFF showing your restoration layers clearly labeled
