Phone call to ask mother in law how her daughter is coping with her husbands cancer

My project is to make a phone call to someone's mother-in-law to ask how her daughter is coping with her husband’s cancer diagnosis. The purpose of this call is to provide emotional support, so I will use a sympathetic and supportive tone. During the call, I will provide updates regarding the husband’s condition, and offer some words of encouragement and positive affirmations. Ultimately, the goal is to show kindness and compassion through the situation.
