Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Dog Groomer who is responsible for providing professional grooming services for dogs, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with animals and possess a strong attention to detail, excellent grooming skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences.
Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
Assess each dog's health and behavior before, during, and after grooming and communicate any concerns to pet owners.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring proper hygiene and sanitation practices are followed.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating grooming services, prices, and recommendations to pet owners.
Handle dogs with care, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process.
Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, tools, and trends to ensure the highest level of service.
Assist in maintaining inventory of grooming supplies and equipment, and notify management when reordering is necessary.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Dog Groomer (certification preferred but not required).
Should have their own vehicle.
Strong knowledge of grooming tools and techniques for different dog breeds and coat types.
Ability to work with dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and breeds.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Patience, compassion, and a love for animals.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Physical ability to lift and handle dogs of various sizes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Certification from a recognized pet grooming school.
Experience with handling a variety of dog breeds, including those with special grooming needs (e.g., curly, long-haired, or senior dogs).
Knowledge of basic pet health and wellness.
