Personal Awareness & Ethical Reflection Project

This assignment consists of two parts: Personal Awareness and Ethical Reflection.
Part 1: Personal Awareness
Autobiography: Reflect on major life events and how they shaped your motivations, strengths, and weaknesses as a counselor.
Goodness of Fit: Explore how your life experiences and personality contribute to your success in the helping professions.
Vision and Mission: Develop a statement outlining your goals as a counselor and your approach to working with clients.
Ethical Dilemmas: Identify potential ethical conflicts you may face and strategies to address them.
Part 2: Ethical Reflection
Discuss the four quality indicators related to:
Ethical Standards
Professional Standards
Practical School or CMHC Counseling Policies and Procedures
Legal Requirements
For each indicator, discuss:
How it applies in your counseling setting
Examples from your experience, class discussions, readings, etc.
Relevant ethical theories or experts
Reference at least 5 sources, including:
2 Ethical Theorists or Experts
Course readings and discussions
2 artifacts/assignments from your counseling program (e.g., Informed Consent Paper)
Formatting
Use the provided template (School Counseling or CMHC)
First-person Language
Use proper APA 7 citation style
Submission
Submit both parts as one document.
