WordPress Developer for High-Traffic Raffle Site Optimization

We are seeking an experienced WordPress developer to optimize our existing raffle website, MWMX.com.au, to handle high traffic, improve checkout performance, and prevent crashes. The site currently runs on WordPress with WooCommerce and the RafflePlay plugin, hosted on VentraIP shared hosting (16GB RAM, 1000% CPU, 15GB disk, $113.50/month). We experience a 510–15 second checkout delay and crashes at 500 orders/hour. Our goal is to achieve a 2–5 second checkout, support 1,500–2,000 orders/hour (with potential for 50–100 tickets/order), and ensure stability, aligning with the performance of high-traffic trade promotion sites like LMCT+ and RS Rewards.

Project Objectives

Performance Improvement: Reduce checkout time from 10–15 seconds to 2–5 seconds.
Traffic Capacity: Handle 1,500–2,000 orders/hour (75,000–500,000 tickets/hour if ticket generation is re-enabled) without crashes.
Stability: Eliminate crashes experienced at 500 orders/hour.
User Experience: Simplify the checkout process for a seamless, mobile-optimized flow.
Scalability: Prepare the site for future growth beyond 5,000 orders/hour.
