SQL DBA Maintenance & Tuning Expert
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I need an experienced SQL Server DBA to step in and keep my databases healthy, fast, and fully recoverable. The core of the engagement revolves around Database maintenance, Performance tuning, and Backup and recovery.
You will review the current maintenance strategy, streamline or rebuild it where necessary, then stay on top of routine tasks such as index and statistics upkeep, integrity checks, and growth management. I also want you to dig into poorly performing queries, refine indexing strategies, and adjust server-level settings so response times noticeably improve.
Equally important is a solid backup cycle. I’d like full, differential, and log backups configured (or audited, if they’re already in place) with restore tests performed on a schedule we agree to, ensuring RPO/RTO targets are realistic and met.
Deliverables
• A documented maintenance and monitoring plan ready to run unattended
• Performance-tuning changes applied with before/after metrics that show clear gains
• Verified backup sets plus a successful test restore report
• A concise health-check summary after the first month, outlining next steps
