Oracle Index Performance Tuning

I’m looking to squeeze faster response times out of our Oracle 19c database by tightening up its indexing strategy. Right now, several key queries are dragging, and I suspect redundant or missing indexes are the culprit.

Here’s what I need, starting immediately:
• Audit the current index landscape, flagging unused, duplicate, or poorly-designed indexes.
• Recommend an optimized indexing plan—covering composite, bitmap, or function-based options where appropriate.
• Apply agreed-upon changes in our non-prod environment, validate execution-plan improvements, then guide a safe rollout to production.
• Document every change and its impact so the team can maintain the gains moving forward.

Access will be provided to AWR reports, execution plans, and the staging environment; you’re welcome to use tools like SQL*Plus, OEM, or your preferred tuning utilities. Because our workloads are sensitive, clear communication and quick turnaround are essential—I’d like to see the first findings within a day of kickoff.
