My custom-built site has begun to drag: the home page hesitates, product pages crawl, and in truth every click feels sluggish. Tests point toward heavy database queries, but I’m open to any bottleneck you uncover.
I need someone to profile the code and queries, trim what isn’t needed, and implement proven fixes—index tuning, query refactoring, smart caching, asset minification, or any other technique that will push the first meaningful paint and full page load comfortably below the two-second mark. Tools such as Lighthouse, GTmetrix, New Relic, or your preferred profiler are welcome so long as the before-and-after metrics are clear.
When you’re finished, I want to see:
• noticeably faster navigation between pages,
• documented changes to the database and codebase,
• a short report comparing the initial and final performance scores.
