Database & Application Performance Improvement We have a Oracle RAC system ie a 3 node cluster. Currently performance is lagging. Need to do the flwg
– Conduct a thorough analysis of current database performance bottlenecks — identify slow queries, missing indexes, locking issues, and inefficient execution plans across all MISASIA modules.
– Prepare a structured report of findings with prioritised recommendations for the DBA, covering query optimisation, index strategy, archiving of stale data, and database configuration tuning.
– Work collaboratively with the DBA to implement agreed improvements; track each change against a measurable before/after performance benchmark.
– On the application side, identify and address inefficiencies in data retrieval logic, unnecessary round-trips, and processing bottlenecks that contribute to slow response times.
– Propose and implement application-level improvements such as caching, batch processing optimisation, and reduction of redundant database calls.
– Establish a performance monitoring baseline so that improvements are measurable and regressions can be detected early.
