NETLAB VM CTF Coaching
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m working through a 23-flag Capture-the-Flag lab hosted in a NETLAB+ pod that contains four separate virtual machines. One of them, the ATTACK_VM, is a Kali Linux box I’ll be operating from; the remaining three targets are stand-alone Easy, Medium, and Hard machines.
Because this is a personal skills-building project, I’m looking for hands-on guidance focused on penetration testing techniques and overall CTF strategy and planning, especially for the Easy level challenges to make sure my fundamentals are solid before I tackle the tougher boxes.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Real-time or clearly documented walkthroughs that show the full attack chain from initial enumeration to flag retrieval on each Easy-tier target.
• Explanations of the tools and commands you choose inside Kali so I understand the why as well as the how.
• Advice on structuring my notes and methodology so I can repeat the process confidently on the Medium and Hard machines later.
A concise write-up (screenshots or terminal output included) for each solved flag will count as acceptance, and I’ll test every step inside my NETLAB instance to confirm it works exactly as described.
If you’ve mentored beginners through CTFs before and can break down the reasoning behind every move, I’d love to collaborate.
