WordPress Blog PDF Archive
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need help turning my father’s long-running WordPress site ( https://dwkcommentaries.com/ ) into a clean, searchable PDF archive that he can store in the cloud and share privately with colleagues and former students. There are about 2,222 posts going back to 2011, touching mainly on Law, Religion, Politics, and History.
What I’m after
• One PDF per top-level category.
• Inside each file, a hyper-linked table of contents that lists every post in strict chronological order. Visitors should be able to click a date/title in the TOC and jump straight to that entry.
• The body of each post should retain its existing “standard blog” look—no fancy re-design, just the same headings, images, block quotes, etc., rendered cleanly for print and on-screen reading.
• Full-text search must work across the entire document.
• The final files should be small enough for convenient download yet high enough quality to preserve images and footnotes.
Additional context
We tried the Print My Blog plugin, but it did not succeed in making a TOC, so a more robust workflow (WP-CLI export, Pandoc, Acrobat, InDesign, or another proven method) is welcome—as long as it meets the goals above.
Deliverables for approval
1. Draft PDF for one category showing the working TOC and searchability.
2. Final PDFs for every category.
3. Brief “how-to” note so I can regenerate or update the archive later if needed.
Please let me know your preferred toolchain and estimated turnaround time.
