Overview
I have a collection of 18 PDF documents that require digital image correction and preparation. These PDFs consist of scanned pages that need to be cleaned and standardised for archival or publication purposes.
Requirements
1. Cropping & Deskewing
• Each page must be cropped to remove excess margins and black borders.
• Images should be deskewed to correct any tilting or misalignment of the text or page elements.
2. Flattening
• All pages should be flattened to remove any residual layers, annotations, or OCR overlays, producing a clean, static image layer.
3. Double-sided Pages
• If a scanned page contains visible text from both sides (e.g. bleed-through or dual scan), both sides must be extracted and presented as separate, fully cropped and deskewed pages, appearing consecutively in the final PDF.
Deliverables
• 18 cleaned, deskewed, and cropped PDF documents.
• Each document should preserve original page order and include both sides where applicable.
• All files should be in high-resolution PDF format, suitable for archival storage.
Additional Notes
• Consistency of page size and alignment is important across the documents.
• Output should be clear and professionally prepared, suitable for reading, digital archiving, or OCR processing at a later stage.
