French Book Illustration Realignment

Job Description (Word / LibreOffice version)
I have an English edition of a fully formatted book and its French translation in a simpler layout. Your task is to open both files side by side and check where each illustration appears in the English version. Then, in the French file (Word or LibreOffice), insert the same JPEG illustrations in the correct positions, adjusting their size so that the layout closely follows the English reference.
The French text, chapter titles, and footnotes are already in place; only the placement and scaling of the images need to be adjusted.
I will provide:
The English book (PDF) as the layout reference
The French manuscript (Word / LibreOffice format) with placeholder images
A folder containing all illustrations in high-resolution JPEG format
Please make sure that page numbers, captions, and references remain consistent. The project should be completed within one month from the start date. Once finished, send me the updated Word (or LibreOffice) file and a final PDF exported from it, so that I can perform a proof check before approval.
