I need help with a Simple PCB Design

I love working with Apple II Computers. In an older magazine I found plans for a tape monitor that I want to build. I need someone to design the PCB. I'm looking for something compact, easy to solder (all through hole) and uses commonly found parts (the design is 40 years old so some substitutions might be necessary).
