Various updates to existing PCB design + review circuit design (KiCad)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Description
An existing PCB design must be reviewed (schematics+PCB layout) and the physical layout of the PCB must be adjusted. See tasks below for details.
Existing schematics and PCB layout is in KiCAD
Background
A design exist in KiCad. The PCBs have been produced and tested and the design is working. Therefore no changes need to be done to the schematics - unless the review identifies issues we need to adjust
Schedule
The tasks must be completed in maximum 2 days
Milestones/Payment
1. On acceptance of review comments and when order is accepted by PCBWay. 50% payment
2. When PCB is tested. 50% payment
Tasks
Change layout
Change display connector placement and slit/hole in PCB (see drawing)
Change all connectors to JST PH type (except programming pins)
Programming pins (3) can be placed anywhere
Change programming pins (3) to 90 degree model (need to discuss if better solution is available)
Change jack connector to 2 pin JST PH
Place all connectors on opposite side of board (compared to existing design)
No specific order of connectors is required
Place switch (SW1) on same side as connectors
Update BOM (possibly with alternative parts)
Might need alternative parts if components cannot be found by PCBWay
Review design (Based on best practice + CE/FCC certification requirements)
Overall review circuit design
Existing design is working - but we want an extra overall review
Special focus on backlight design. Check design (data sheet) vs. Specification of backlight on TFT display
Data sheets will be provided
Review PCB design
Best practice review of board layout
Use 4- or 2-layer design? (CE/FCC/MIC certification)
Place logo/image on PCB
Change text on PCB to "Version 1.1"
Add text to SW1 on PCB (On (right)/Off (left))
Check ESP32-WROOM-E 8Mb is used (BOM)
Support ordering at PCBway
Document order process
Answer engineering questions from PCBWay
Potentially find alternative components if current components cannot be readily sourced from PCBWay
