Design Schematic PCB Circuit Diagram and Firmware for Smart Tree Pot with 70+ Expressions Display.
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are seeking a skilled freelancer to help design the schematic PCB circuit diagram and develop the firmware for a Smart Tree Pot device that integrates multiple sensors and displays 70+ expressions on a screen. The device will monitor various environmental factors such as moisture, temperature, light and respond with visual expressions on a display based on the sensor data.
The goal of this project is to create a system where the tree pot responds interactively to its environment with a range of dynamic expressions, making the device not just functional but also visually engaging.
Project Requirements:
1. PCB Circuit Design:
o Design the schematic circuit diagram for the Smart Tree Pot.
o Integrate sensors for soil moisture, temperature, light to monitor plant conditions.
o Design an expression display system to show visual feedback (70+ different
expressions).
o Include a microcontroller for handling sensor data and controlling the display.
o Power management: Battery operated and C-type option.
2. Firmware Development:
o Develop firmware for the microcontroller to process sensor data and determine which expression to display based on real-time environmental factors.
o Implement expression logic for over 70 unique expressions that reflect different plant conditions (e.g., happy, thirsty, too hot, etc.).
o Integrate a user interface (via a physical button or mobile app) to allow manual interaction and expression customization.
o Provide data logging capabilities for tracking plant health over time and enabling users to view sensor data and system performance.
3. Other Deliverables:
o A Bill of Materials (BoM) outlining all components required for the design.
o Gerber files for PCB manufacturing.
o Firmware code with detailed comments and instructions.
o Documentation for circuit schematic, firmware installation, and setup.
Skills Required:
• Experience in PCB design (schematic creation, component placement, routing).
• Strong background in embedded firmware development for microcontrollers ESP32.
• Expertise in sensor integration (moisture, temperature, light).
• Proficiency in designing and controlling displays (LCD, OLED, etc.).
• Knowledge of low power design techniques and energy-efficient systems.
• Familiarity with developing interactive user interfaces.
Please submit your portfolio with relevant examples of PCB designs and firmware projects, particularly those involving sensor integration and display systems. Include a brief outline of how you would approach designing the schematic and developing the firmware for the expressions display system.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a unique and engaging project that blends technology, nature, and interactive design. If you have the skills to bring this innovative Smart Tree Pot to life, I’d love to hear from you!!
