Redesign and Review of Dual RP2040 USB PCB for Safe Manufacturing and Testing
Budget: $10 – $200 USD
I have an existing dual RP2040 USB board design that needs to be reviewed, corrected, or redesigned from scratch if necessary. The current version has confirmed issues that caused two boards to fail after assembly and first power-up. I’m now looking for a reliable hardware engineer to ensure the next version is clean, stable, and ready for safe manufacturing through JLCPCB.
What I’m looking for:
- Review and correction of the current schematic and PCB layout, or a clean redesign using EasyEDA or KiCad
- USB-C power input with proper protection and routing
- Proper BOOTSEL support for each RP2040
- Component placement that avoids soldering risks (no vias under pads, proper clearances)
- Correct pull-up and pull-down resistor usage
- Clean, industry-standard routing and labeling
- A board that will pass assembly and power-on testing without issue
Project conditions:
- I will provide the current schematic, PCB layout, failure report, and JLCPCB notes
- The first milestone is $10 for initial review
- No milestones will be released until I receive the new board from JLCPCB and confirm it is fully working
- If the board fails during testing or shows critical design issues, the milestone will be canceled
- I expect ongoing communication and a commitment to quality and responsibility
This is a serious project, and I’m looking for someone with strong PCB design experience and attention to detail. If you agree to these terms, please apply with your experience and timeline.
