I'm in need of a seasoned Hardware Engineer / PCB Designer, proficient in KiCad for multi-layer PCB design. The designed boards will incorporate both SMD and through-hole components.
Key responsibilities:
- Design multi-layer PCBs using KiCad
- Integrate both SMD and through-hole components into the designs
- Create detailed schematics for PCB designs
- Perform Design Rule Checks to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards
- Generate Gerber files for PCB production
- Select appropriate components for the design
- Oversee the prototyping process and refine designs as needed
Ideal candidates will have:
- Extensive experience with multi-layer PCB design in KiCad
- Capability to design for both SMD and through-hole components
- Strong understanding of hardware engineering
- Knowledge and experience in real-time programming
