KiCAD PCB Design for ESP32 Sensor Shield
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I'm looking for a skilled PCB designer who can create a KiCAD PCB design for a shield intended for an ESP32 Devkit v1. This shield will serve as a sensor interface, allowing connection to 5V ADC sensors via 3 Pin JST 2.54mm connectors. As I need to power the ESP32 via the VIN pin I need a 2 Pin JST 2.54mm connector to feed 5v to the ESP and to the sensor connectors.
Key Requirements:
- Design should accommodate 4 sensor connectors. Each 3 Pin JST 2.54mm connector should be mounted vertically in the middle between the two rows of the ESP32 pins. The ADC Pins to be attached to the connectors are: A14 (GPIO13), A15 (GPIO12), A16 (GPIO14) and A17 (GPIO27)
- The shield and subsequently the ESP32 is powered by a horizontal (2 Pin) JST 2.54mm connector in the bottom center of the board above the USB connector.
- I would like to have a small red LED placed next to the 2 Pin power connector to indicate that 5v power is received by the shield. (LED should be similar to ESP32 onboard LEDs)
- As the all the ESP32 pins will be covered by sockets on the bottom of the shield, it would be nice to have the pins extended with pins on the top side to make them accessible again. (Not sure if this is clear or even possible, feel free to ask)
- ESP32 Antenna should be kept clear as much as possible.
- PCB design must be ready for upload to PCBWay. I would like to order the PCB fully assembled via PCBWay.
- PCB design must be designed with KiCAD workflow so that I can make changes and additions in future
Please check my drawings and images for additional references.
Please ensure the design and routing is robust and meets the specifications for interfacing with standard 5V ADC sensors. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of PCB design principles and experience working with sensor interfaces and the ESP32 platform.
If there are any questions or doubts about my design let me know! :)
Best regards,
Alan
