EasyEDA PCB for Prototype Toy re-design
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
I need a professional to re-design a simple small PCB for a prototype toy product.
I previously posted this project on Freelancer and the awarded freelancer failed to produce a working design, over complicated it and cost me a lot of money to produce something that did not work.
IMPORTANT - the project milestone payment will only be released AFTER a prototype is produced by JLCPCB and confirmed the be working. Therefore please factor this into your project timeline.
About the Project:
A low-profile USB 2 Type A memory stick is being incorporated into a prototype toy product.
It requires a really simple small PCB consisting of:
- USB-C socket connector
- USB 2 Type A connector
- 6 pin edge connector
The low-profile memory still will connect to the onboard USB 2 Type 2 socket. The whole PCB will then connect to a desktop computer via a standard USB-C data cable, plugged into the PCB mounted USB-C socket.
The PCB will at a later date, be connected to another device via a PCIe style edge connector
It is not expected that the PCB will be connected to both the USB-C and the edge connector at the same time.
The freelancer will create the PCB design in the correct dimensions and add tracks connecting the USB-C socket to the USB-A Socket for the USB Menory Stick. Then add tracks connecting the USB-A to the edge connector pads.
EasyEDA files from the previous project will be provided which gives the PCB dimensions (35x37mm) and the connectivity tracks to the to the edge connector pads.
JLCPCB and EasyEDA are the preferred PCB manufacturers.
Project output is an EasyEDA project file, that can be imported, modified and send to JLC for small run prototype production

All components are to be SMD and to be mounted on one side.
This project does not require any additional components on the PCB beyond the USB connectors and the edge connector. Consider the the design to be the same as if a user plugged in a USB2 memory stick directly into a USB3 socket on a desktop computer.

- PCB design and prototyping
- Familiarity with USB-C and USB 2 Type A connectors
- Experience with designing for toys or
